This report aims to estimate the socioeconomic impact of the current crisis in Syria. In this regard, diagnosis of developmental roots of the crisis was conducted to develop an understanding of deficiencies that led to the current situation. Then, socioeconomic impact of the crisis has been analyzed and estimated during 2011 and 2012, taking into consideration internal escalation of the crisis, socioeconomic responses of the Syrian government, and effectiveness of sanctions.
